Reynolds Returns To Broadcasting At SNY

MLB Analyst Debuts On Mets’ Net Friday

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 4/24/2008 7:18:00 AM

Harold Reynolds is back in the announcing game. The former Major League Baseball All-Star and ESPN commentator will join SNY, the regional sports network home of the New York Mets, tomorrow night as an analyst.

Reynolds will work primarily with Lee Mazzilli and Matt Yallof on SNY’s Mets pre- and post-game shows. Reynolds, who will continue his analyst role at MLB.com, is scheduled to take his first SNY swing April 25 at 6:30 p.m.

“Harold’s studio experience, keen insight and strong relationships with current and former players will enhance our baseball coverage and add a new dimension to our shows,” said Curt Gowdy, Jr., senior vice president of production and executive producer of SNY, in a statement. “We’re excited to have him join our team, and look forward to him sharing his in-depth knowledge of the game with our viewers.”

Reynolds, who worked at ESPN from 1996 through 2006, following his 12 seasons in the big leagues, was fired from the total sports network over a sexual harassment complaint. Reynolds sought $5 million in damages; the case was recently settled out of court.
