TV Guide Inks Bain for Emmys

Bob Bain Productions will co-produce TV Guide Channel’s 2005 Emmy Awards programming under terms of a deal announced Wednesday.

Award-show producer Bob Bain will serve as executive producer on all three TV Guide-owned original 2005 Emmy specials, with Joan and Melissa Rivers hosting Guide to the Emmy AwardsMonday, Sept. 12; Joan and Melissa Live at the Emmy AwardsSunday, Sept. 18; and Emmy Awards FashionWrapMonday, Sept. 19.

“Bob is just as passionate about live, celebratory award-show programming as Joan and Melissa are about the red carpet, and we are fortunate to be able to combine these forces to invigorate our red-carpet coverage,” TV Guide Channel senior vice president of programming and production Danila Koverman said in a prepared statement.
