Big Brother: After Dark Returns to Showtime

Uncut Reality Show to Debut Feb. 12

By Steve Donohue -- Multichannel News, 1/8/2008 7:05:00 AM EST

Showtime said it is teaming up again with corporate sibling CBS to deliver the edgy reality series Big Brother: After Dark.

The program will run on its SHO2 multiplex channel from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m., seven nights a week, beginning Feb. 12. While the version of Big Brother that runs on CBS meets broadcast content standards, the Showtime version features profanity and occasional nudity.

The first winter edition of Big Brother will debut Feb12, and air every Tuesday at 9 PM ET/PT, Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT and Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The series follows the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize.

Big Brother is produced by Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan, in association with Endemol U.S.A.
