Hennessey to Run Fox Business Channel Web Site

Fox News Recruits Dow Jones Veteran

By Steve Donohue -- Multichannel News, 6/26/2007 12:25:00 PM

Fox News Channel recruited veteran journalist Ray Hennessey to run the Web site tied to its upcoming Fox Business Channel.

Hennessey, former editor of SmartMoney.com, was named managing editor of the Fox Business Channel Web site.

Hennessey, who used to provide a weekly commentary for CBS News, worked previously as news editor a Dow Jones and CNBC-Wall Street Journal Television from 1998 through early 2006. While there, he ran personal-finance and fund-industry coverage at Dow Jones Newswires and appeared on CNBC’s Dow Jones Halftime Report, and he was a regular guest on the network’s Wakeup Call program.

Fox Business Channel is scheduled to launch during the fourth quarter.
