Verizon’s FiOS fiber optic data and television service has expanded into four more communities north of Boston, and it has landed three more video franchises in neighboringtowns.

Hamilton, Stoneham, Wakefield and Wenham join a list that now includes 10 Massachusetts communities passing 73,000 households.

Meanwhile, boards of selectmen in Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester unanimously granted Verizon a 10-year cable TV franchise to provide FiOS TV. The new franchise will allow the telco to offer service to 6,700 additional households. In all, Verizon has landed video franchise agreements in 15 Massachusetts communities, and it’s negotiating with more than 40 others.

As part of the service area expansion, Verizon is offering Massachusetts customers a bundle includingFiOS TV service, FiOS Internet service and the Verizon Freedom Value unlimited calling plan for $104.85 monthly.
