ION Television, qubo and ION Life Will Launch in HD Next Year

ION Media Networks Monday announced its suite of networks will begin broadcasting in high definition next year, starting with ION Television in the first quarter of 2009.
ION Television will be available as ION Television HD in the first quarter of next year with qubo and ION Life following suit later in the year, network officials said.
“We’ve made significant investments in infrastructure and content to bring excellent picture quality to consumers in time for the digital transition,” Brandon Burgess, chairman and CEO, ION Media Networks, said in a statement. “Our viewers in the 94 million homes we serve will enjoy the full benefits of DTV technology.”
