TiVo next week will begin offering customers with broadband-connected DVRs the ability to rent Walt Disney Studios movies, through a previously announced deal with CinemaNow and Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
Disney titles, including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Dumbo and The Fox and the Hound, will be available in standard-definition resolution to rent starting at $2.99 each through movie-download provider CinemaNow.
In addition, TiVo now offers independent and international film titles from Internet movie service Jaman.com. Titles including Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room and Supersize Me are available to rent or purchase starting at $1.99, with several short and full-length films available to download for free.
The new content selections are available to users with broadband-connected TiVo Series2, Series3, HD and HD XL DVRs.
