Arbitron appointed George Brady to the new position of senior manager for cable- and broadcast-television sales.
Based in Los Angeles, Brady will be responsible for developing and launching new services for cable and broadcast television, including custom research and away-from-home-media use that takes advantage of the audience panels established for Arbitron’s Portable People Meter radio-ratings service.
During his career, Brady has worked in national radio sales for Katz Media, sold television locally for Telemundo in Los Angeles, sold competitive spending data and software applications for local TV stations in the Midwest and agency-focused media software to local and national advertising agencies.
His career at Arbitron has been as diverse. He has served as a client-service representative and an account executive handling both radio and television for Arbitron’s advertiser and agency clients, and as manager of the Western region. After taking time off in 1999 to help his family launch a successful restaurant in Beverly Hills, he returned to Arbitron in 2001 and has served since then as product manager for the multimedia software Arbitron developed for the PPM.
