Independent Trader Formerly Worked As CNBC Contributor

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 3/3/2008 10:39:00 AM

Former CNBC contributor Eric Bolling has joined Fox Business Network in a similar role.

Bolling, who currently works as independent trader from his office at the New York Mercantile Exchange where he specializes in commodities trading, will work in a number of capacities for Fox Business Network. Since leaving CNBC's air last August, he has appeared intermittently on FBN and was among those expected to join the rookie financial news channel's roster.

"We’re looking forward to Eric serving in a number of roles on FBN,” said Fox news executive vice president Kevin Magee in a statement. “Eric brings over 20 years of Wall Street trading experience and we’re thrilled to have him join our team.”

Bolling added, “I’m very proud to join FBN and have the opportunity to bring my market expertise to the network.”

Bolling’s resume also includes an entry as a CNBC contributor for two years, during which he served as a panelist on Fast Money, where he offered expertise on a wide range of investments.
