Microsoft Hires Prudential Analyst to Handle Content Deals
Styponias Named GM of Media & Entertainment Group

Katherine Styponias, previously cable and satellite analyst with Prudential Equity Group, joined Microsoft’s Media & Entertainment Group as general manager, where she will head the business-development team working with content producers.
Before joining Prudential in July 1995, Styponias worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
"I've known Kathy for more than 10 years and have the highest regard for her," Microsoft Media & Entertainment Group corporate vice president Blair Westlake said in a prepared statement. "Kathy brings to our team an unparalleled depth of knowledge and understanding about the entertainment industry that will help to expand business opportunities for both Microsoft and its partners."
Styponias, whom Microsoft described as “an admitted TV junkie,” relocated from New York to Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, Wash.
