MSNBC is in talks with Rosie O’Donnell about her hosting a primetime show for the network, The New York Timesreported Tuesday.
O’Donnell, the controversial comedian and former host of The View, could take over MSNBC’s 9 p.m. time slot, following Countdown with Keith Olbermann.
She would then compete with CNN’s Larry King Live and Fox News Channel’s Hannity & Colmes. Currently, Dan Abrams hosts a 9 p.m. talk show on MSNBC.
Officials at MSNBC couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.

Get rid of Abrams. The sooner, the better. He ran MSNBC into oblivion when he terminated Don Imus for no reason what-so-ever. The only reason he got a job was because of his father. The O.J. I kept him on the air. He is a bald headed geek loser. Drive him from the air waves forever. Please. Besides, I love Rosie. Everybody knows that.
