NBC Universal said it’ll shoot more than 3,600 hours of coverage at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Its coverage – the company’s most extensive yet at the Olympics – will run from Aug. 8-24, 2008.
NBC Universal networks that will carry Olympics programming include NBC, USA Network, MSNBC and CNBC. It will also run HDTV Olympics programming on its NBC owned-and-operated stations, USA HD and Universal HD. Telemundo will run Spanish-language Olympics programming.
Internet coverage of the Olympics includes more than 2,200 hours of live streaming broadband video coverage on NBCOlympics.com.
NBC said its 3,600 total hours of coverage triples its previous record of 1,210 hours of coverage at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.
