MTV’s ‘Making The Band 4’ Hits Ratings High
Season's Second-Half Premiere Is Tops In Franchise History

The second-half premiere of MTV’s Making The Band 4 marked the series highest-rated debut among the network’s target demographic.
The Jan. 29 telecast notched a 2.2 rating against persons 12 to 34, according to Nielsen Media Research data, the best since the Sean Combs-franchise bowed in June 2003. The first half of the series’ fourth season debut last summer.
The show, which averaged 2.2 total million viewers, also scored big among female teens (a 3.86 rating), women 18 to 34 (3.34) and men 18 to 24 (2.15)
Network executives said the installment was the most-watched show in primetime cable among females 12 to 34 on Jan. 28.
The Making The Band 4, season two debut was the top show on MTV.com Monday, attracting 500% more unique visitors and delivering 173% more video streams than last season's premiere. Additionally in less than two days, the show has generated more than 250,000 streams, according to MTV officials
