Crown Media Promotes Arouh To Executive Vice President
Will Oversee All Distribution Operations For Hallmark Family Of Networks

Crown Media Holdings Monday announced the promotion of Janice Arouh from senior vice president to executive vice president, network distribution and service.
In her new role, Arouh will be responsible for all distribution operations of Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movie Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel HD as well as day-to-day affiliate sales and partnerships with the channels’ affiliates.
“This well-deserved recognition not only acknowledges Janice's extraordinary contributions to the growth of our network, but also reflects our unlimited faith in her ability to continue to lead our organization toward even greater success in the future,” Henry Schleiff, president and chief executive, said in a statement.
Arouh and the network distribution and service department have over the past year secured renewals with all of Hallmark Channel's major distributors whose viewers constitute nearly 90% of the channel's subscribers. She also supervised the launch of the high-definition version of Hallmark Movie Channel which has grown by more than 7 million subscribers since the beginning of 2007.
In recognition of her contribution to Hallmark and the industry, she was honored in the 2008 class of Wonder Women as chosen by Multichannel News.
Prior to joining Hallmark Channel, Arouh was senior vice president of affiliate marketing at Fox Cable Networks.
Hallmark Channel, owned and operated by Crown Media Holdings, Inc., is a 24-hour basic cable network that provides programming to a national audience of 84 million subscribers.
