J&J Pitches Visine in AMC Product Placements
Pop-Up Ads to Appear During Movies with Characters Experiencing Eye Irritation

AMC viewers watching certain movies featuring characters experiencing eye irritation will see pop-up ads for Visine following a deal the network cut with pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson.
The sponsorship package kicks off Monday night with AMC’s telecast of 1986 comedy Down & Out in Beverley Hills. During one scene where Nick Nolte’s character emerges from a swimming pool with bloodshot eyes, a Visine product pitch will pop up on the bottom of the screen, AMC said.
J&J will also run product-placements for Visine on AMC during its telecasts of Volcano (March 19) and The Quick and the Dead (March 29).
AMC, the Rainbow Media Holdings-owned network formerly known as American Movie Classics, will schedule commercial bumpers and tune-in spots featuring Visine as part of the advertising deal.

If they are THAT hard-up for business then shame on them....I will never buy another J&J product...this advertising thing is getting completely out of hand...leave us alone already!!!!

Just another reason to NOT watch AMC. They've basically removed the CLASS from CLASSic. I miss the old American Movie Classics.
