ION Media Networks Thursday announced an agreement with Buckeye CableSystem, a Toledo, Ohio-based cable operator serving more than 150,000 subscribers, to launch ION’s channel suite and renew carriage of the ION Television Network.
Buckeye will launch ION’s 24-hour linear digital networks: qubo, a children’s network focusing on values and literacy and ION Life, a channel focusing on active living and personal growth.
“We are delighted to announce this company-wide agreement with Buckeye CableSystem,” Steve Friedman, President Networks Distribution, ION Media Networks, said in a statement. “This partnership with Buckeye clearly illustrates ION’s commitment to cable and to providing outstanding content to their subscribers. It also reinforces the value of special interest programming on television.”
ION Television’s daily programming lineup includes popular family shows like The Drew Carey Show, Mama’s Family, Family Feud and Quantum Leap. The network has recently announced additions to its fall lineup, including Boston Legal and M*A*S*H.
