NBC Ramps Up Multiplatform Coverage For Papal Visit
NBC, MSNBC, MSNBC.com And Telemundo Set For Special Coverage

NBC Monday announced its networks will provide extensive coverage of Pope Benedict XVI’s first official visit to the U.S. this week throughout the week.
NBC’s Nightly News With Brian Williams will devote coverage to introducing viewers to the current Pope, looking at who he is and the issues and topics he’s dealing with throughout the world.
On Wednesday, April 16, Today will provide a special split edition with Matt Lauer co-anchoring live coverage from Washington, D.C. and Meredith Vieira live from New York. Lauer will report from the White House where he'll meet with President Bush.
MSNBC will provide live coverage of the Pope’s arrival at Andrews Air Force Base Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET as well as his Wednesday meeting with President Bush at 10:30 a.m. ET and live coverage of his mass at 10 a.m. Thursday from Nationals Park in Washington D.C. The network will also cover his address to the United Nations Friday at 10:45 a.m.
MSNBC.com will provide exclusive video, interactive slideshows, community discussions on Newsvine and original reports from NBC correspondents, producers and analysts. The Web site will also stream live coverage of his visit to the White House and Thursday mass.
Telemundo, the Spanish-language network, will also provide extensive coverage of Pope Benedict’s visit, beginning each day on its morning show Cada Día.
