LIN TV reached its third retransmission consent agreement with a top distributor this week, announcing June 12 that it has reached a deal with Comcast to carry the analog and digital signals of 27 owned-and-operated stations in 15 markets.

LIN said in a statement that the agreement covers KRQE-TV, KASA-TV, KBIM-TV and KREZ-TV in Albuquerque; WIVB-TV and WNLO-TV in Buffalo, N.Y.; WDTN-TV in Dayton, Ohio; WANE-TV in Ft. Wayne, Ind.; WOOD-TV, WOTV-TV and WXSP-CA in Grand Rapids, Mich.; WLUK-TV in Green Bay, Wis.; WTBH-TV and WCTX-TV in Hartford-New Haven, Conn.; WISH-TV, WNDY-TV and WIIH-CA in Indianapolis; WLFI-TV in Lafayette, Ind.; WALA-TV and WBPG-TV in Mobile, Ala.; WAVY-TV and WVBT-TV in Norfolk, Va.; WPRI-TV and WNAC-TV in Providence, R.I.; WWLP-TV in Springfield, Mass.; WTHI-TV in Terre Haute, Ind.; and WUPW-TV in Toledo, Ohio.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. In addition, LIN said that it will work together with Comcast to build awareness of the Feb. 17, 2009 digital broadcast transition in the Indianapolis, Hartford, Springfield, Albuquerque and Grand Rapids DMAs.

This Comcast retransmission accord was the third for LIN in four days. On June, the station group said that it had reached an agreement in principle with Charter Communications regarding retransmission consent for 11 stations in seven markets. On June 9 LIN announced a retrans deal with DirecTV for 23 stations in 15 markets.
