IFC said Thursday that it will release three new films simultaneously in theatres and via on demand through its IFC in Theaters brand.
The three films: Mister Lonely, The Duchess of Langeais and Love Songs are among seven IFC films to be shown at next month’s Toronto International Film Festival.
Jacques Rivette’s The Duchess of Langeais is a period film which takes place in the Saint-Germain neighborhood in Paris and depicts the unsteady and unconsummated love affair between a Parisian socialite and a Napoleonic war hero.
Shot in the jungles of Panama, Scotland and Paris, Mister Lonely, directed by Harmony Korine, is about a Michael Jackson impersonator, played by Diego Luna, who lives alone in Paris and performs on the streets to make ends meet.
Christophe Honorés drama Love Songs is a musical tale of a love triangle.
IFC in Theaters has launched 37 films on both VOD and theaters since its launch this past February.
