New York, White Rapper Make VH1 Sing

VH1 said the Jan. 8 premiere of I Love New York, a sequel of sorts to Flavor of Love, drew 4.4 million viewers, the most-watched series debut ever for the network.

The MTV Networks unit said the show -- about finding a man for former Flavor Flav suitor Tiffany (New York) Pollard -- posted a 2.55 Nielsen Media Research rating for the 9 p.m. premiere, and the debut episode of Egotrip’s The (White) Rapper Show at 10:30 p.m. drew 1.6 million viewers (1.53 rating).

New York was the highest-rated program on cable Monday, VH1 added.
