Former Turner Sports Executive Joins Company

By Todd Spangler -- Multichannel News, 10/17/2007 8:18:00 AM

Scott Bailey, who previously oversaw a group of sites for Time Warner’s Turner Sports Interactive, has been named senior vice president and general manager of Comcast.net, a newly created position overseeing the Web portal for the operator’s 12.4 million high-speed Internet subscribers.

Bailey will report to Comcast Interactive Media president Amy Banse. At Turner Sports, he was vice president and general manager for a group of Web sites including NASCAR.com, PGATour.com and PGA.com.

“Scott’s strong track record of developing, launching and managing sites will truly be an asset as Comcast.net and CIM continue to grow,” Banse said in a statement.

Comcast.net serves 3.1 billion page views and has 15.6 million unique visitors per month, according to comScore. The site also delivers more than 90 million video streams a month.
