ATLANTA -Racking up the biggest-ever ratings for an original basic-cable movie, Turner Network Television's Crossfire Trail posted a 9.6 rating for its Jan. 21 premiere, officials said last week.
Crossfire Trail racked up a 13.2 share and reached 7.7 million households, according to Nielsen Media Research. With those whopping numbers, the movie broke the previous record set in 1990 by USA Network's China Lake Murders, which garnered an 8.4.
Tom Selleck starred in the telepic, an adaptation of a Louis L'Amour Western novel.
