A&E Suspends 'Bounty Hunter' Duane 'Dog' Chapman for Racial Slur
Incident Threatens ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’ Series

A&E Television said it suspended Duane “Dog” Chapman after learning late Wednesday of an audiotape featuring Chapman repeatedly using the n-word.
The surfacing of the audio clip, featured prominently by the National Enquirer on its Web site, could threaten one of A&E’s flagship programs.
“A&E has just learned of the story released by the National Enquirer concerning Duane Dog Chapman. We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded, we will take appropriate action,” A&E said in a prepared statement Thursday.
On the audiotape, Chapman is heard using the n-word several times in a telephone conversation with his son Tucker. Chapman expresses his displeasure that Tucker is dating an African American, warning that she could jeopardize the show if she overhears Chapman and his team using the n-word.
“I don’t care if she’s a Mexican, a whore, whatever. It’s not because she’s black. It’s because we use the word n----- sometimes here,” Chapman tells his son. “I’m not going to take a chance ever in life of losing everything I’ve worked for 30 years because some fu—ing n---- heard us saying n-----.”
While A&E has suspended additional production of Dog The Bounty Hunter episodes, executives at the network have not yet decided whether they’ll continue to carry episodes that have already been produced, a source said.
The next episode of Dog The Bounty Hunter is scheduled to run Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Dog and his posse were still featured prominently on A&E’s Web site Thursday afternoon.

Dog and his family are out there doing good things for people. It's not fair that someone stops him for using his own phone. I guess that on rush hour you better do something about Chris Tucker cause he uses the N word too.

This is crazy already. For God's sake, bring Dog back! Jesus, the guy grew up in the 60's and 70's, he was in a biker gang and he was in prison! The word is going to come up. He never meant it as hate ; However, I realise he must be punished. A&E, I'm begging you!!! BRING DOG BACK TO US!!! P.S, you want ratings? Chris Angel and a bunch of ghost hunters can't replace the Dog.
THE PEOPLE STILL LOVE YOU DOG!

First of all I hate the word nigger. My son is mixed, he was made fun of and called nigger until I took him out of school and started home school. He is so much happier and doesn''t have to put up with the crap anymore. The word nigger means an ignorate person. Nigger is not a COLOR, it could be anyone. It makes no sense for people to take offense to being called a nigger unless they feel that they are an ignorate person. It took me 6 years to get that through to my son and he finally gets it and now it doesn''t bother him. I enjoy Dog''s show and think it was wrong for A&E to take it off the air. Everyone makes mistakes, you learn from them and know not to make the same one twice. I think it was very wrong of his son to sell the conversation to the press. Tucker should be ashamed of himself. I''m sure he thinks he had a good reason for doing what he did but,I don''t. the sad thing is that Dog would be the 1st to pick him up if he needed him. Tucker thinks Dog didn''t care about him because he didn''t get him out of trouble and he doesn''t even realize that he did the best thing he could for him when he let him face it. To Dog I say, TRUST IN YOUR FAITH, God will see you through this. To everyone else I say, Let he without sin cast the first stone, in other words, sweep under your own door step before you start sweeping someone elses.
