MTV.com will look to get a big traffic boost Friday night when it runs the world premiere of “Piece of Me,” the new video from Britney Spears’ Blackout album.
For 48 hours, MTV.com will be the only Web site carrying the full length video, beginning at 11 p.m. ET, MTV boasted.
MTV is also encouraging amateur filmmakers to create their own “Piece of Me” videos by using MTV Video Remixer. More than 6000 videos have already been posted, MTV said.
“Piece of Me” is the second video off of Spears’ Blackout album.
