Study: Bring on Service To Download Software

Ann Arbor, Mich.-This just in: On-demand interactive services will bolster a cable or digital-subscriber-line operator's bottom line, said Infinity Marketing Group, which conducted a user-study of Media Station Inc.'s "SelectPlay" software-on-demand service.

IMG found that 86 percent of customers surveyed found on-demand interactive services such as SelectPlay to be a "good reason" to subscribe to a high-speed service, and 81 percent said they would be willing to fork over a monthly fee.

A total of 82 percent of that group didn't currently subscribe to any premium-cable-TV channels, IMG added.
