A&E Television Networks named Maryanne Fisher vice president, marketing services, she had previously served as creative director for The Lord Group.

Vicki Lins was promoted to senior vice president of marketing and communications. She had been vice president.

COMCAST

Comcast Corp. has announced three promotions and one hire: Richard N. Palmer to senior vice president of finance and administration for the Eastern division. He had been VP, finance; Joni Kinsley to national senior director, business development. She had been online general manager, new markets; Carla Simonet to national director, marketing data and reporting. She had been marketing manager; and Stacy Gordon was appointed to national director, retention marketing. She served most recently as account director with Devon Direct EURO RSCG.

COX

Cox Communications, Inc. has promoted Janice Cooley to director, workforce planning and talent acquisitions. She had been manager of strategic staffing.

DISCOVERY

Discovery Networks promoted Michael Van Bergen to director, local advertising sales for the affiliate sales and marketing division. He had been manager, local ad sales.

FOX

Fox News Channel has announced three promotions: Brian Lewis to senior vice president, corporate communications. He had been VP, media relations; John Moody to senior VP, editorial; and Paul Rittenberg to senior VP, advertising and market research. He had been VP, advertising sales.

NATGEO

National Geographic Channel named Michael Beller vice president for business and legal affairs. He had previously served as director of business affairs at Discovery Communications, Inc.

NBC

Brian Hunt was promoted to vice president of affiliate advertising sales and promotion for all programming on CNBC and MSNBC. He had been director of affiliate advertising sales.

NCC

Chuck Cowdrey is joining National Cable Communications as vice president, market development at the CableLink Interconnect division. He had been the Greater Washington general manager. Pam Barratta, has replaced Cowdrey as interim general manager.

ODYSSEY

Odyssey Network announced four promotions: Shannon Dashiell-Rapp was promoted to vice president, design at Odyssey Network, previously she had served as creative director for all print advertising; Hank Smith was promoted to VP, human resources. She had been executive director; Andrea Kolb was named director, strategic partnerships, advertising sales. She had been account manager for Replay TV Digital Video Recorder; and Len Marino was promoted to senior VP, creative services and on-air promotion, he had been VP.

PACIFIC BROADBAND

Pacific Broadband Communications has hired two senior managers: Sydney Carey was appointed chief financial officer; Clint Tripodi was appointed vice president of human resources.

QVC

Randy S. Ronning was hired as executive vice president for QVC Inc. he had been president of catalog and internet at JCPenney.scripps

Scripps Networks has promoted three executives: Burton Jablin to president of Home & Garden Television; Judy Girard to president of Food Network; and Jim Zarchin to president of the Do It Yourself network. The three had previously served as senior vice presidents and general managers of their respective networks.

STANDARD

Standard Communications named Ian Thomas director of sales. He had been sales manager for the western U.S. for ACI Communications.

TNN

Barbara Zaneri was named senior vice president, program planning and acquisitions for TNN: The National Network. She had been VP, programming, acquisitions and scheduling for USA Broadcasting.

WORLDLINK

WorldLink, LLC. named Joseph A. Spano senior vice president and chief financial officer. He had previously served as an independent consultant for three Internet start-ups in the Irvine, Calif. area.
