Cox Puts Service-Call Software to Work

By Karen Brown -- Multichannel News, 6/21/2006 5:12:00 PM

Cox Communications is tapping TOA Technologies to supply its “ETAdirect 3.0” mobile work-force-management software for its Kansas, Arkansas and Gainesville, Fla., systems.

A Web-based software suite, ETAdirect 3.0 offers tools to schedule, route and track cable-technician service calls and monitor crews in the field. Because it is Web-based, employees can more easily access the scheduling system from any Internet connection, making updates more efficient.

“We selected TOA Technologies because their solution is flexible, affordable and offers many features not available in the more costly legacy systems,” Cox director of field services Mark Leuenberger said.

“Another key benefit of using TOA’s system is that implementation is much faster and easier,” he added. “We were up and running in just four weeks, with staff training time taking just an hour per employee, versus several days with many other systems.”
