AT&T U-verse TV Is California Dreaming

Telco Launches IPTV Service in Los Angeles, Riverside, Ventura County

-- Multichannel News, 5/1/2007 4:45:00 PM

AT&T Tuesday launched its U-verse TV service in the Los Angeles area; the Riverside, Calif., area; and Ventura County, also in California.

The telco won a statewide franchise to offer video services in March, and in Los Angeles, it is targeting Time Warner Cable’s system, which has been battling customer-service issues.

AT&T detailed exact areas where U-verse TV is currently available:

• In the Los Angeles area: parts of the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana metropolitan statistical area, including Altadena, Anaheim, Burbank, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Glendale, Laguna Niguel, Orange County, Santa Ana, Santa Clarita and Tustin.

• In the Riverside area: parts of the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario MSA, including the city of Riverside, County of Riverside, Corona and Norco.

• In Ventura County: parts of the Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura MSA, including Simi Valley.
