Retirement Living TV Sets Weekly Entertainment Show

NOW Playing with Gary Collins to Debut July 6

By R. Thomas Umstead -- Multichannel News, 6/28/2007 4:22:00 PM

Retirement Living TV will give seniors their own version of Entertainment Tonight.

The network July 6 will premiere NOW Playing with Gary Collins, a weekly half-hour entertainment-magazine program that will bring entertainment news straight to savvy baby boomers and seniors who want to “be in the know,” according to network executives.

The program will feature a weekly perspective on music, DVD and film releases, as well as a variety of entertainment star interviews. NOW Playing also covers film and Broadway premieres, taking viewers behind-the-scenes and onto the red carpet.

“Gary is a charismatic and warm host whose many years in the entertainment industry are a huge asset to RLTV’s first entertainment-review show,” RLTV vice president of programming Elliot Jacobson said in a prepared statement. “With his extensive entertainment experience, Gary will provide our audience with a unique insight into the seasoned stars of showbiz.”
