TV Guide is creating a number of cross-platform initiatives featuring TVGuide.com, TV Guide magazine and TV Guide Network in conjunction with the Television Critics Association’s biannual press tour starting this week in Beverly Hills.
For the sixth year in a row, TVGuide.com will offer television enthusiasts up-to-the-minute coverage of TCA activities from July 16-26 with daily blogs written by senior writer Michael Ausiello (The Ausiello Report), senior television critic Matt Roush (Roush Dispatch) and senior correspondent Stephen Battaglio (The Biz).
The blogs will allow readers to interact with TV Guide’s experts on-site, who will provide inside scoops and commentary about the fall season’s hottest new and returning television series, show creators and stars.
TVGuide.com will recap TCA news of the upcoming season’s broadcast-network programming in a daily e-mail newsletter, which will be distributed to a select list of key television-industry influencers July 17-27.
TV Guide magazine will also provide behind-the-scenes coverage and news from the TCA tour in its Aug. 6 edition.
TV Guide Network will be on location for daily coverage of the TCA tour, culminating in a one-hour special entitled Fall TV: First Look, which is scheduled to air Aug. 19. The special will include one-on-one interviews with the top stars and creators of the fall season’s television series, as well as coverage of the TCA Awards July 21 and the event's biggest all-star parties.
In addition, TV Guide Network will air daily segments on The Richter Scale, while video clips from TCA will be posted online at TVGuide.com.
