QVC Posts Record Weekend Sales

Home Shopping Network Collects $105 Million in Domestic Orders

QVC said last weekend was the most lucrative in the network’s 21-year history, as it raked in $105 million in domestic sales.


In addition, the network posted $25 million in sales on Dec. 1-2 through its Web site, QVC.com.

Items that drove the record numbers included 314,000 units of Philosophy skin care products and 31,000 Dell Inspiron notebook and desktop computers. Dell chairman Michael dell hawked the computers himself during the 3 p.m. hour on Dec. 2.


QVC said it attracted more than 25,000 new customers during the weekend holiday selling spree.

Other hot items over the weekend included the Bose Wave music system, Kodak digital cameras, the Lexmark wireless printer, scanner and copier, Cook’s Essentials digital pressure cookers and flameless candles.
