Bright House Networks has named Mike Robertson division president of its Tampa Bay, Fla., cable operation. He had been senior VP, operations.

Catholic TV

Watertown, Mass.-based Catholic TV has named Father Bob Reed executive director of its national cable network and its broadband network, CatholicTV.com. He had been assistant director, manager of new media.

Comcast

Dan Glanville was named vice president, government affairs in Comcast’s Connecticut-West Region, encompassing Connecticut, Western Massachusetts and New York. He had been senior director, government and regulatory affairs.

Also, Davina Kent was named San Francisco-based director, strategic alliances at the Comcast Spotlight ad-sales division. She comes from TiVo, where she was VP, national advertising sales at the digital video recorder marketer.

COX

Cox Communications ad-sales unit Cox Media has named Stephen Schmeider as Virginia statewide business manager, responsible for operations in the Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia and Roanoke markets. He comes from Professional Student Loan Services LLC, where he was a partner and financial manager.

Discovery

Discovery Channel has promoted Randy Rieland to senior vice president, interactive media. He had been VP, new media.

Also, Iain Langridge has joined the network as vice president, interactive media. He was VP, international product management at AOL.

ESPN

Sports programmer ESPN has named Barry Blyn as New York-based vice president, consumer insights. He comes from Sterling Brands, where he was senior VP, strategy.

Imagine

San Diego-based digital video processing and edge multiplexing solutions provider Imagine Communications has named Terry Kinninger chief financial officer. He was CFO and executive VP, business development at medical-device company R2 Technology.

Insight

New York-based cable operator Insight Communications elevated Melani Griffith to senior vice president, programming and video services, from VP, programming.

Also, Scott Schneiderman was promoted to senior VP, strategy and operational finance from VP, finance and strategic planning.

And Sherman Hand was named director of data and security, fraud and abuse. He had been manager of security.

LodgeNet

Derek S. White has joined Sioux Falls, S.D.-based LodgeNet Interactive as president of its The Hotel Networks unit. He comes from targeted media and marketing services company Alloy, where he was executive vice president.

MSG Media

MSG Media has named Kathryn Kerrigan as senior vice president, sales planning and analysis. She comes from Discovery Communications, where she was VP, ad-sales planning and analysis.

Narrowstep

TV-over-the-Internet services provider Narrowstep has named Barak Bar-Cohen as London-based president and chief operating officer. A former RCN executive, he was Narrowstep’s general manager, European operations.

Nat Geo

Charles Regan has been named vice president, digital mapping business at National Geographic Global Media, based in Washington, D.C. He comes from Maps.com.

NBC Universal

NBC Universal has elevated three members of its digital-distribution team: Jennifer Boudreaux to vice president, sales business development; Chip Canter to vice president, wireless platform development; and Michael Schreiber to vice president, sales business development.

Also, Tony Cardinale was named senior vice president, research and strategic insights at NBC Universal’s Bravo Media and Oxygen Media. He was VP, research at Bravo Media.

And Christina Pisano was elevated to vice president, Bravo/Oxygen research. She had been VP, research, at Oxygen prior to its acquisition by NBCU. And Sarah Barasch was named VP, ad sales research at Bravo/Oxygen. She had been VP, ad sales research at Oxygen prior to its acquisition.

Telemundo

Spanish-language broadcast and cable programmer Telemundo has elevated Jack Brown to vice president, Telemundo network sales, Chicago. He had been an account executive in the national sales office.

Weather

Lynn Brindell was elevated to executive vice president, strategic marketing at Atlanta-based The Weather Channel. She had been senior VP, marketing.

Also, Sheila Buckley was elevated to New York-based vice president, national ad sales at The Weather Channel Interactive.
