AARP Content To Debut On Retirement TV

‘Inside E Street,’ ‘My Generation’ Bow Next Week

By R. Thomas Umstead -- Multichannel News, 3/6/2008 11:28:00 AM

Retirement Living TV will air two original series from 50+ advocacy group AARP, beginning next week.

Inside E Street, a new consumer affairs program, will debut March 10 and will debate the hot topics of the day, as well as follow issues before Congress and key state legislatures across the country, according to network officials. Hosted by Sheilah Kast (ABC News, CNN), the series will air Monday and Fridays at 3 p.m.

Lifestyle magazine show My Generation will debut March 11, featuring information on issues from health and money to relationships and volunteering. The series is scheduled to air Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 3 p.m.

The shows are the first to come out of an exclusive content distribution deal reached this past September between AARP and the 29 million-subscriber Retirement Living TV.

“We are pleased that AARP has recognized the value in teaming up with RLTV: a cable network who’s made it their mission to change not only the way people watch television, but the way they live their lives,” said RLT president Brad Knight in a statement.
