Bresnan

Purchase, N.Y.-based cable operator Bresnan Communications has promoted four finance executives: Andrew Cober to executive vice president and chief financial officer; Margot C. Bright to senior vice president and treasurer; Benedict Caiola as vice president, controller; and Elizabeth M. Costa as vice president, assistant controller.

Comcast

Comcast has named Louis Woodson as vice president, customer care in its West Palm (Fla.) region. He had formerly served as VP, customer care in the Kansas-Arkansas region.

Cox

Atlanta-based cable operator Cox Communications has named Mark F. Bowser senior vice president and chief financial officer. He had been VP of the company’s Cox Business Services unit.

In Demand

Eric J. Petro was named New York-based senior vice president, chief financial officer of video-on-demand and pay-per-view programmer In Demand. He comes from Time Warner Cable, where he was senior VP, new business and voice finance.

Also, In Demand has named David Asch executive vice president, responsible for programming, new media, ad sales and finance. He was senior VP, programming and new media.

And Jason Patton advanced to senior vice president, business development, responsible for managing video-on-demand operations. He had been VP.

Liberty Sports

Liberty Sports Group has tapped Ted Black as senior vice president, general manager of regional-sports network FSN Pittsburgh. He had been vice president, business and legal affairs with the National Hockey League’s Pittsburgh Penguins.

NBC Universal

NBC Universal International Television Distribution has promoted Justin Che to senior vice president, international new media licensing, from VP.

Also, Sandra Chang advanced to vice president, international new media licensing, from director.

Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon has promoted Howard Smith to executive vice president, Nickelodeon Recreation, based in New York. He had been senior VP.

NYC TV

NYC TV, New York City’s municipal cable and broadcast TV programmer, has named Nomi Roher as director of production. She comes from New York-based ONTV Productions, which she founded.

OpenTV

San Francisco-based digital TV and advertising-services vendor OpenTV has named Ben Bennett as CEO. He had been acting CEO and chief operating officer.

Optimum Lightpath

Robin Silverman was promoted to senior vice president, chief customer officer of Cablevision Systems’ Jericho, N.Y.-based Optimum Lightpath business-services unit. She was VP, information technology.

Also, Joe Caruso advanced to Optimum Lightpath’s senior vice president, business planning, intercarrier and administration from VP, business planning and finance.

And Tom Welsh has joined Optimum Lightpath as vice president, engineering. He had been VP, network engineering and technology at RCN’s RCN Optical Networks unit.

Oxygen

New York-based women’s network Oxygen Media has named Jane Olson senior vice president, marketing and brand strategy. She comes from sister NBC Universal network Bravo, where she was VP, brand strategy and creative director.

Planet Green

Eco-lifestyle channel Planet Green named Tom Carr senior vice president, marketing, based in Silver Spring, Md. A former senior VP of marketing at TNT, he comes from Spanx Inc., where he was consulting chief marketing officer.

Starz

Suzanne Sell advanced to vice president, program analytics at Englewood, Colo.-based Starz Entertainment. She was director, program research.

SureWest

Roseville, Calif.-based telecom provider SureWest Communications has named Scott Sommers senior vice president, finance and corporate development. He had been VP, treasurer.

Also, Dan Bessey was elevated to vice president, chief financial officer. He was VP, finance.

Time Warner Cable

Time Warner Cable has added Anthony Surratt as New York-based vice president, corporate communications. He was executive director, public relations at Cox Communications in Atlanta.
