MTV Dance Show Serves Up 4.9 Million Viewers
Finale Draws 2.5 Rating Among 12- to 34-Year-Old Viewers

Audiences grooved to the March 27 finale of MTV’s (www.mtv.com) hop-hop dance competition series Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew to the tune of 4.9 million viewers.
Overall, the eight-part series in which dance crews from around the country competed for a grand prize of $100,000, posted an average 2.5 household rating among the network’s core 12-34 audience (1.9 million viewers) and averaged 2.7 million viewers.
Viewers also aggressively interacted with the show, posting 38.3 million votes for the final two crews – winner JabbaWockeeZ and Status Quo and – in the week leading up to the finale. Overall, 50.3 million votes were cast for the season.
MTV recently announced the show, executively produced by American Idol’s Jackson would return for a second season.
Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew is one of several dance shows that have aired or are expected to air on cable since the beginning of the year.
