‘Daily Show’ To Broadcast From Convention Cities

Comedy Central Hit Heading To Denver, Twin Cities This Summer

By Linda Moss -- Multichannel News, 5/1/2008 10:24:00 AM

Continuing a longstanding tradition that dates back to 2000, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will be broadcasting from the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Convention host cities when those confabs take place, officials said Thursday.

Stewart and "The Best F*&#ing News Team Ever!" will broadcast a week of shows in both Denver and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn., as part of its ongoing “Indecision 2008” coverage of the race for the White House.

The Daily Show's coverage of the Democratic National Convention will be taped at The Byron Theatre in the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at The University of Denver and will air nightly at 11:00 p.m. from Aug. 26 through 29.

The show will then head straight to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis/St. Paul and will tape the show at The History Theatre at McNally Smith College of Music with nightly shows at 11:00 p.m. from Sept. 2 through 5.

Tickets for the tapings may be requested at the show's Web site.
