Comcast Elevates Kolb To CMO Of E!, Style

Promotion Also Makes Executive GM Of E! Online

-- Multichannel News, 5/12/2008 2:30:00 PM

Comcast Entertainment has elevated Suzanne Kolb to chief marketing officer of E! Entertainment and Style Network, as well as general manager of E! Online.

In her new role, Kolb will lead all marketing, communication and brand alliances for the networks. Her duties also extend to oversight of E! Online and Mystyle.com, as well as to working closely with the company's international division in directing brand strategies worldwide. Kolb also coordinates with the network heads to lead talent relations efforts for E! and Style and co-supervises E!'s news gathering team.

Kolb previously served as executive vice president, marketing and communications for the two networks. In this role, she led E!'s highly successful launches for the reality shows Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Girls Next Door and Snoop Dogg's Father Hood, plus late-night series Chelsea Lately. She also oversaw the launch campaign for Style's highest-rated original series ever, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane.

Additionally, Kolb has led the growth and success of E! Online, including the recent relaunch, which expanded the Web site's 24/7 breaking news capacities, as well as the debut of Style's Mystyle.com last year.

"Suzanne has played an integral role in the ongoing growth and success of E!, Style and E! Online." said Ted Harbert, president and CEO, Comcast Entertainment Group, to whom Kolb continues to report, in a statement. "She is an incredibly gifted executive who possesses the rare combination of superb creative skills with unparalleled managerial abilities. It is a pleasure to announce her well-deserved promotion as we embark upon the company's next exciting chapter."

This summer, Kolb will oversee the launches of E!'s new original series Denise Richards: It's Complicated and Living Lohan, plus Pamela (working title), the new observational series about actress Pam Anderson.
