EVP Now Responsible For Senior Talent Across Company’s Various Business Units

-- Multichannel News, 5/28/2008 10:43:00 AM

Cablevision Systems Corp. has elevated Carolyn Dursi to senior vice president, executive recruiting.

In this position, Dursi, who had been serving as the cable operator’s vice president, executive recruiting since 2000, will oversee the recruitment of senior talent across all Cablevision business units, including corporate, cable, News 12 Networks and Rainbow Media Holdings, among other units.

As such, she is the company’s key strategist for its executive recruitment plans and procedures, maintaining responsibility for directing candidate search and development activities, managing partnerships with external recruitment firms, and working closely with Cablevision’s senior leadership team to identify and disseminate best practices that meet the company’s personnel goals.

“With her extensive experience in executive recruiting, Carolyn continues to be instrumental in successfully driving our strategic staffing objectives by helping to attract, hire and retain the most qualified and dynamic professionals across all of our businesses,” said Joseph Lhota, executive vice president of corporate administration, in a statement. “We are pleased to announce this well-deserved promotion in recognition of Carolyn’s tremendous contributions to the company.”

As vice president, executive recruiting, Dursi had oversight for the creation and implementation of an internal candidate search strategy for sourcing, screening, evaluating and developing senior talent.

Prior to joining Cablevision, she held numerous leadership roles at executive recruiting firms, including serving as senior vice president at Thorndike Deland Associates and as managing director at Horton International.
