Ice Road Truckers(History, Sunday, June 8, 9 p.m.)
THE RUNDOWN: Season two ups the ante, making the truckers haul bigger loads even farther, onto the Arctic Ocean, at higher speeds, with no land-bridge pull-offs.
PROS: Veterans (and ace personalities) Hugh “Polar Bear” Rowland (pictured) and Alex Debogorski (with 11 kids to feed) return, and must learn new tricks.
CONS: Whiny loser Drew Sherwood also returns, but maybe not for long: Frustration seems to defeat him in episode one.
THE SCORE: Only one rough episode was reviewable, but it seems like Thom Beers and co. have made sensible tweaks to a foundation already as solid as six-feet-thick ice.
