John “J.C.” Murphy was elevated to president and CEO at Cedar Point Communications. He had been executive VP, worldwide sales.

City Lights

Jennifer Demme has joined City Lights Television as vice president, production and will oversee television and digital projects. She comes from Fuse Networks, where she was executive in charge of production.

CMT

CMT has upped Margaret Comeaux to senior director, music and events production, based in Nashville. She had been executive producer in charge of such shows as the CMT Music Awards, Crossroads, Invitation Only and CMT Giants.

Comcast

Comcast has named Alicia Niedezelski as senior vice president, product marketing for Comcast Business Class, responsible for the Eastern Division and based in Oaks, Pa. She comes from Motorola in Horsham, Pa., where she was director, marketing services.

Comcast SportsNet

Princell Hair was named senior vice president, news operations at Comcast SportsNet, based in Philadelphia and responsible for news, studio and digital programming across the company’s 10 regional sports networks. He comes from Turner Broadcasting System, where he was senior VP of the Strategic Planning Group.

ImaginAsian TV

ImaginAsian TV has tapped Adam Ware as president of its new IA Media unit, including the cable channel. Most recently a Los Angeles-based media consultant, he is the former chief operating officer of UPN.

Integra5

Gene Lew was named vice president, products and strategy at Woburn, Mass.-based convergence applications vendor Integra5. He comes from Internet exchange PAIX/Switch and Data, where he was chief technical officer, North America.

NBC Local Media

Gregory Gittrich was hired as national news editor for the NBC Local Media digital platforms. He comes from the New York Daily News, where he was assistant managing editor, news.

NBC Universal

NBC Universal has named Beth Colleton vice president of “Green Is Universal,” responsible for the day-to-day business of its cross-brand environmental initiative. She comes from the National Football League, where she was head of corporate social responsibility.

Nickelodeon

Jose Carbonell was named vice president, preschool/parenting brand marketing at Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group. He comes from pet-supplies manufacturer Hartz Mountain, where he was senior marketing director.

Oxygen

Julie Rothman was named vice president, communications at Oxygen Media. She comes from sister company NBC, where she was VP, East Coast entertainment publicity.

QVC

West Chester, Pa.-based home shopping channel QVC has added Anil Jagtiani as senior vice president, corporate strategy and new business development. He comes from Hallmark Cards, where he was executive vice president of corporate strategy and development.

Also, Karen Fonner was upped to vice president of strategic merchandising initiatives.

RIVR Media

Knoxville, Tenn.-based RIVR Media Interactive has added Donna-Lisa Valencia as senior vice president, creative director. She comes from Walt Disney Internet Group in Los Angeles, where she was executive producer, product owner.

Scopus

Princeton, N.J.-based digital video networking vendor Scopus Video Networks has tapped Dan Ambauen as vice president, sales and support, North America. He comes from Harmonic, where he was vice president, North America Cable Sales.

Sherman & Howard

Denver-based cable law firm Sherman & Howard has tapped Shannon Dunham as head of its newly established St. Louis, Mo., office. She comes from St. Louis-based MSO Charter Communications, where she was vice president, senior counsel.

Time Warner Cable

Gail MacKinnon has joined Time Warner Cable as executive vice president, chief government relations officer, based in Washington, D.C. She had been senior VP, global public policy with Time Warner Inc.

WE TV

Women’s network WE TV has tapped Elain Waldman as vice president, trade marketing. She comes from NBC Universal, where she was director of marketing in the enterprise marketing solutions.

Also, Heather Umen advanced to vice president, brand experience and events from director.
