Speed Says ‘Wrecked’ Debut Scored a Record

So-Called ‘Dangerous Reality’ Show Doesn’t Scare Away Viewers

By Kent Gibbons -- Multichannel News, 7/21/2008 3:40:00 PM

Speed said Wrecked’s July 17 debut was the highest-rated premiere of an original program ever for the Fox Cable Networks outlet.

The “dangerous reality” skein, about a family-owned towing outfit in suburban Chicago, drew 760,000 viewers and scored a 0.74 rating in its debut, Speed said.

It also said the show made Speed the third-ranked basic cable network among that target demographic in the 10 p.m. ET hour.

Speed said the two telecasts of Wrecked ranked seventh and ninth in males ages 18-49 on basic cable for the night.

A review of Wrecked can be found here.
