RCN To Launch Qubo In Boston

Kids Educational Service Joins Ion On Op’s Beantown Lineup

Ion Media Networks and RCN Corp. have reached an agreement whereby the distributor will carry qubo in its Boston service area.

The TV and online educational service joins Ion Television on RCN’s lineup in the Boston DMA. Deal terms were not disclosed.

"We are delighted to announce the launch of qubo in the Boston market, and are impressed with RCN’s commitment to offer their subscribers the very best in children’s programming,” said Ion Media Networks president of network distribution Steve Friedman in a statement. “This agreement reinforces the value of qubo to its core audience, and represents yet another step in fulfilling our multi-platform distribution strategy.”

Added RCN general manager: “We are excited by the launch of qubo in the Boston market. qubo is a great addition to the expanded children and family programming we have included in our all-digital platform.”
