Diddy Headlines New VH1 Summer Series

‘Luke’s Parental Advisory,’ ‘New York Goes to Hollywood’ Join Hip-Hop Mogul

By Larry Barrett -- Multichannel News, 7/23/2008 3:28:00 PM

VH1 Wednesday announced the debut of three new original series premiering in early August, including I Want To Work For Diddy, a reality competition pitting 13 contestants against one another in the hopes of winning a job working for the hip-hop mogul.

All three new series—including New York Goes to Hollywood and Luke’s Parental Advisory—will kick off on Monday, Aug. 4.

Throughout Diddy’s latest reality show, contestants will be “challenged emotionally, physically and mentally to earn the privilege of doing Diddy's bidding,” VH1 officials said.

In New York Goes to Hollywood, Tiffany “New York” Pollard from the network’s I Love New York series is “back in a whole new light—the Hollywood limelight.” After finding love in her debut series, Pollard “is now ready to take the next step by making it big in Hollywood,” network officials said. The half-hour series premieres at 10 p.m. ET, one hour after I Want To Work For Diddy.

Luke’s Parental Advisory, starring former 2 Live Crew frontman Luther “Luke” Campbell, will feature the notorious bachelor trying to protect his two children from “today’s raunchy influences just as parents tried to do with his music,” VH1 officials said.

VH1.com will sneak peek the first episodes of each show beginning Monday, July 28 and will be the home to exclusive video content throughout the seasons.
