‘Secret Life’ Sets Record for ABC Family

Teen Drama Becomes Network’s Most-Watched Telecast

Secret Life of the American Teenager delivered another week of stellar ratings for ABC Family, attracting more than 3.1 million viewers—the most for any series telecast in the network’s history.

The show posted a 24% improvement in total viewers from the previous week, including a 19% surge in adults 18-34 (982,000 vs. 823,000) and adults 18-49 (1.5 million vs. 1.1 million).

ABC Family officials said Secret Life was the most-watched program of the week among women 12-34 for the third time in the past four weeks.

Through its first four episodes, the show has ranked as the most-watched program in its timeslot compared to all other cable programming.

For the season, total viewership is up 190% (2.8 million vs. 967,000) and ratings among viewers 12-34 is up a staggering 339% (1.8 million vs. 418,000).
