Online Coverage Gets Fans Up Close and Personal with Pop Trio

By R. Thomas Umstead -- Multichannel News, 8/7/2008 8:10:00 PM

Can’t get enough of the Jonas Brothers? MTV Friday will provide live online streaming coverage of the pop music trio leading up to the band’s New York City concert on Saturday, Aug. 9.

For six hours beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday Aug. 8, and for eight hours starting at noon the next day, MTV will chronicle every move of the Jonas Brothers live online at jonasbros.mtv.com as they prepare for their show at Madison Square Garden, part of a multi-city promotional for their upcoming album A Little Bit Longer, said the network.

In addition to the live video streams, MTV will be live-blogging all the goings-on behind the scenes, from 3 p.m. to midnight ET Friday and from 8 a.m. to midnight ET on Saturday.

MTV will recap the best moments from the live online feed and provide exclusive footage during two, 30-minute Jonas Brothers: Live & Mobile specials on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.

In addition, viewers can catch up with the trio during commercial breaks at least twice per hour on MTV during the hours the site is streaming, said the network.
