MSNBC Goes Live All Day Saturday For Obama VP Decision

16 Hours of Live Coverage In The Works

MSNBC Friday announced it will present live coverage from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET Saturday in preparation for the announcement of Sen. Barack Obama’s vice presidential running mate for the November election.

The coverage will kick off with MSNBC Live at 6 a.m. ET with Alex Witt anchoring.

From 7 a.m. to noon ET, Morning Joe will guests include: Mike Barnicle, MSNBC political analyst; Chuck Todd, NBC News political director; Mark Halperin, TIME; Mark Leibovich, The New York Times; John Harwood, CNBC chief Washington correspondent; Andrea Mitchell, NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent; John Heilemann, NY Magazine; Chrystia Freeland, U.S. managing editor of The Financial Times and Andrea Mitchell, NBC News chief foreign affairs correspondent.

At 1 p.m. ET, Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann anchor MSNBC Live. The duo return for Hardball with Chris Matthews and Countdown with Keith Olbermann at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET, respectively.
