The second-season finale of Bravo’s Shear Genius reality hairstyling competition series drew 2.54 million total viewers Wednesday night, a 52% surge from the prior week’s total of 1.67 million.

Network officials said 1.64 million adults 18-49 tuned in, up 57% percent from the 1.04 million who watched last week’s penultimate episode.

More impressive, the season-two finale garnered a 95% improvement (vs. 1.3 million viewers) compared to the season-one finale.

In its second season, Shear Genius was up 68% among adults 18-49 and up 77% in total viewers versus the season-one average. Bravo said Wednesday ratings helped Bravo earn the top spot as the No. 1 cable entertainment network in primetime among viewers 18-49 and the No. 1 cable network in the 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET hour in this demographic.

The network’s real estate docu-series Million Dollar Listing also scored season and series highs, checking in with 634,000 adults 18-49 and 909,000 total viewers.

And Wednesday's episode of Project Runway also saw a ratings surge, garnering 2.39 million adults 18-49 and 3.54 million total viewers, making it the No. 1 entertainment cable telecast for the day among total viewers and adults 18-49, Bravo officials said.
