GSN Sets Up Online Shop

Fans Can Buy From Library of 1,000-Plus Games

By Linda Haugsted -- Multichannel News, 9/30/2008 11:52:00 AM

GSN and Imagine Entertainment teamed up to launch a game merchandising site, GSNshop.com, which debuts Tuesday.

The site will offer more than 1,000 titles, including games for preschoolers, party games and versions of GSN shows such as Family Feud, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Bingo Night America.

The site will provide extended buying information for users, such as age recommendations for the games.

The channel will also be releasing, on Oct. 6, a DVD version of Bingo Night America. The disc will allow gamers to play a version of the game identical to the format used on the TV show, or a DVD specific mode of play.

The release of the DVD is timed to coincide with the Season 2 debut of the game, which this season will star former Family Feud host and Home Improvement actor Richard Karn.
