CTAM Live: Online Player Leaps Past 1 Million Cable Customer Mark

Leapfrog Serves As Online Agency, Sales Channel For Comcast, TWC, Cablevision

BY Linda Haugsted -- Multichannel News, 11/9/2008 6:30:00 AM

Leapfrog Online, which contracts with major cable operators as an online agency and sales channel, reports that it has now delivered 1 million customers to its operator clients.

The company creates online campaigns for customer acquisition and upsell, places banner ads in locations such as Yahoo!, and aids operators with search engine optimization.

The company also develops and operates microsites for cable clients such as Comcast Corp., Time Warner Cable, Cablevision Systems Corp., Charter Communications Inc., Insight Communications and Bright House Networks. The microsites can be generic or specialized down to the household level, so that customers who log on in response to a specific order are only offered packages that apply to them.

Cass Baker, senior vice president of the firm, said the firm can document its success because Leapfrog Online is paid per installed customer.

Leapfrog has been marketing online on behalf of cable clients since 2002, when it signed a pact with then-AT&T Broadband, Baker said.
