PPV Event’s Silver Anniversary To Be Backed By Host Of Elements

BOSTON--WWE is planning a bevy of promotional support behind the silver anniversary of WrestleMania next spring.

Triple H in actionTo help affiliates boost buy rates for WrestleMania 25, slate for April 5 in Reliant Stadium in Houston, the grappling group said it will employ a host of partner-centric promotions, including a national sweepstakes, viral marketing and gaming, telemarketing and direct mail, Lisa Richards, WWE vice president, affiliate marketing.announced at CTAM Summit ’08. The WrestleMania XXV affiliate promotion plan begins with an aggressive array of traditional marketing tactics: cross-channel spots, ad slicks, Web banners, on-hold messages, telemarketing and e-blasts. There will also be a national sweepstakes supported with WWE’s marketing vehicles, along with customizable materials for affiliates and a dedicated micro-site at WWE.com.

WWE’s popular superstars and divas will also hit the field through appearances at retail locations and viewing parties at top restaurants and bars in key markets, many produced in partnership with local cable operators
